Decorating the Porch for Christmas

Oh, yes, Christmas is that fun time of year when we tend to decorate everything. Well, at least I do. Many of us decorate our outside world as well. Not just the lights on the house, but the porch and entryways as well.

Since I have a country porch look to both my front and back porches, I like to decorate them for the holidays as well. Christmas door mats are one of the things that always goes on my porches. They just seem to be ideal to welcome my guests, whether they be family or friends.

But I also love to little accents to my country porch look. Of course for me, they tend to be unique or unusual. Yes, the sweet white lights or bright Christmas lights are part of the tradition, but a little snowman, charming wreath or holiday bird house also make a great effect.

As far as I'm concerned, Christmas time is one of the great holidays we all celebrate. No matter what country or what part of the world we live in. And there is plenty of Christmas stuff out there to decorate with. It's a matter of our own taste and personal preferences.

For me, the Christmas door mats that I use are a big part of my decorating. But adding in the extras that make my porch look festive are a tradition for me. And I never seem to have enough of those extras. Every year I search out a few more fun ones to add to my collection.

No matter what theme or style you like to use in your holiday decorating, there is a new option for you to enjoy. Whether it's a great new Christmas door mat, or a few new unique holiday decorations, your porch and outdoor areas can be part of the festive look.

Endangered Species Animal Christmas Ornaments

Christmas time is definitely a time of celebrating and sharing with family and friends. But, let's not forget the animals. Many of those that are endangered are now available on tree ornaments.

As an animal lover myself, I know how much I certainly don't want to lose these precious animals for my grandchildren to know about. Future generations will have enough on their hands to deal with, wouldn't it be nice if they didn't have endangered animal species to deal with?

You can show your own children and grandchildren some of these animals with endangered species Christmas tree ornaments. Remember them yourself and help keep them in our world mind so that maybe we can be part of the solution to saving them.

That's my view when it comes to helping these animals. Just maybe the increase in awareness can make a difference. Just maybe we will think about helping the organizations that help these animals. At least with Christmas tree ornaments, we can keep them in our minds.

I've found a collection of 7 of them featured in beautiful photographs. Endangered species ornaments will make a wonderful and giving addition to your own Christmas tree as well as great gift options for so many who are on your gift list.

The Beauty of Bells on the Christmas Tree

Don't you just love the look of bells for your Christmas tree? I know I do. Not only the look but also the charming sound of bells just seem to ring true for Christmas. Yes, the pun was intended!

In the movie "It's a Wonderful Life," we learn that every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings. What a delightful way to enjoy the gentle tingle of bells at Christmas time.

Whether you love the look of beautiful cut-glass bell ornaments or you like the whimsical world of the Peanuts Gang, you can find just about any kind of bell ornament for your Christmas tree.

I do enjoy seeing all my choices on one page and that helps me decide which ones I will pick out to add to my tree each year. Hopefully, you can find your favorite bell ornament for the Christmas tree, too.

Christmas Pillows for Festive Decor

Don't you just love Christmas decorating? I certainly do and I love the idea of spreading the decorations through out my house. Yes, I even decorate my bathrooms!

So several throw pillows with a Christmas scene or design on them are perfect to add to my couch, chairs, even as a throw pillow on my bed. Personally, I like to mix up my designs and Christmas decorations, but I have a sister who does each room in specific theme.

For her, Christmas pillows need to match her theme. How about reindeer Christmas pillows? Cute and fun just for the enjoyment of the holidays. Maybe it's a Santa Claus pillow that intrigues you. After all, he is the most popular symbol for Christmas.

But, maybe Christmas for you is about the birth of Christ. Then a religious themed Christmas pillow is for you.

If you prefer to decorate for this festive time without a full Christmas theme, how about snowflake throw pillows? Beautiful accents for your home for winter time.

Any theme you choose can be carried with a beautiful, whimsical or just plain fun Christmas throw pillow. Mix them up, if you're like me!
