Do You Know the Origin of Valentine's Day?

We all love Valentine's Day. Yes, pun was intended. It's just flat out the most romantic day of the year. And, no big surprise here, it's also the single day when the most proposals of marriage are made.

But where did Valentine's Day start? Sure, it happens to be the feast day of St. Valentine. But that turns out to be not the reason we celebrate love on February 14th. We celebrate love for a different reason.

Valentine was the name of a martyr who choose to marry people when marriage was illegal. He even did that from prison. Now that is someone who loves marriage.

But the idea of sending cards and gifts to your loved one came about much later in history. That started in the Middle Ages in English royal courts. Then the mid-1800s brought us more fun by way of mass producing greeting cards.

Nice to know that Valentine's Day didn't start as a marketing idea from Hallmark, isn't it?

Giving gifts was a marketing idea though. The diamond industry started promoting jewelry for Valentine's Day gifts. Of course, I think the chocolate makers were flat out thrilled by that!

Did you know that February 14th is not the only Valentine's Day around the world? Yep, there are others. It entirely depends on which saint or special person feast day is associated with love. That determines what the day actually is. But, the whole world does get the chance to celebrate love.

So do your part this year to continue the Valentine's Day tradition. Maybe even put together a fabulous romantic dinner for your loved one.

Are You Ready for Some Football? Or the Super Bowl?

OK, I realize the Super Bowl is not an officially recognized holiday. But, in my world, the first Sunday of February is a day to celebrate. It's the single most watched event in the US every year. Also, the Super Bowl TV event commands the highest advertising rating of any show anywhere. That says something right there.

It's also an event that makes a great excuse for a party. It doesn't matter if you favorite team is one of the competitors. It's still a great annual event for many people. So it's time talk about planning a Super Bowl party.

Some Super Bowl parties are just a fun gathering of friends or neighbors. Others are big annual parties with Super Bowl invitations sent out and plenty of celebrating. Even if you don't send out invitations, you do enjoy putting together a great party.

It can include fun football serving dishes for all your favorite sports themed foods. It can include football decorations around the TV watching room and even extra special centerpieces on the buffet table.

You'll still want to have plenty of fun food just right for watching the Super Bowl. And that means lots of snack-type foods and finger foods. You want those football fans to be able to jump up and cheer a great run to the end zone without spilling chilli all over your floor.

So get the planning started. Super Bowl party invitations if you like, football serving dishes and plenty of fun foods to serve. And get ready to cheer on which ever team you like this year.

Sharing Christmas with the Eiffel Tower

Whether you live in Paris, visited Paris, or just wish, the Eiffel Tower in the form of an ornament is a great way to remember. The beautiful landmark is a perfect symbol for such a beautiful city.

My own travels took me to Paris several times. Each time was a wonderful new memorable experience. So, my Christmas tree contains a few ornaments from that great city. The Eiffel Tower ornaments are my favorites though.

In some cases, the Eiffel Tower ornaments are personalizable. That means you can add the year of your visit, or include the names of those who shared the trip with you. But, you don't need to have to do all of that. If the visit was just plain special enough, you don't need those extras.

Anyway you look at it, making your own Christmas tree special with those kinds of ornaments that are special to you is a holiday event. Create those memories, or wanna be memories with Eiffel Tower Ornaments for your tree.

The world of Paris during the holidays is beckoning you. Well, beckoning me, too. I would dearly love to visit Paris again. But, for now, I will settle for great Eiffel Tower ornaments for Christmas.

Funny Calendars to Get Your Ready for the New Year

We all know that everyone can use a laugh through out the day. But we can be talking about funny and humorous every day of the year with funny calendars.

How about a daily dose of comic strip humor? I'm really big on daily calendars, there just seems to be too much to list. So I love the idea of having my favorite comic strips on my calendar every day.

But, then I love animals too. I know the humor that animals can create just in their antics. Now I can enjoy those animals on calendars as well. Funny animal calendars are just too hilarious to ignore.

Yoga positions can be quite funny, too. How about cats and kittens in yoga positions? That's what these calendars are. A whole year of funny cats and kittens all posed in those hilarious ways.

OK, dogs are one of my favorite animals and I share my world with many dogs. That means I can't help but love funny dog calendars. These I love to share with family and friends for gifts.

Whatever kind of funny calendars you like, we got you covered. With comic strip daily calendars, funny dog calendars, yoga cats and kittens and funny animals calendars you can get your dose of laughter all year.

Wrapping Up with Animal Scarves

Yes, I'm an animal lover. With both the holidays and colder weather, combining things to keep me warm and show off my love of animals is a perfect combination. So I went looking for fun ways to do this and found great designer wrap scarves with animals on them. Perfect!

Now, admit it. Penguins are just too much fun for the holidays. So I found some darling penguin wrap scarves to keep me warm and decorate me for Christmas. Actually, I love celebrating the holidays, too, and scarves are a perfect fashion accessory. Penguins with Christmas tress, penguins with snowflakes, cute, whimsical and cool-looking penguins all show up on designer wrap scarves. How nice is that?

But, let us not forget cats. I share my life with 2 cats so I can't ever leave them out. Cat lover wrap scarves are ideal for me and anyone else who has cats or kittens in their world. Then cat scarves designed just for the holidays are even better.

By now, you probably know that I am happy to have anything with animal pictures. And the penguin wrap scarves are a fun addition. The cat wrap scarves are a special treat as well. Wrapping myself up warm and cozy while still being comfortable is what theses scarves are all about.

Celebrating Baby's First Christmas

A baby's first Christmas is definitely something to celebrate. Whether this is a new born or one just about to celebrate his or her first birthday, that Christmas can be remembered through special things and for years to come.

We all know that Christmas tree ornaments are so special and worth keeping year after year. With a baby's first Christmas photo ornament, you can remember that precious year every time you decorate your tree for the holidays. But also celebrate with a Baby's first Christmas t-shirt or onsie. Your child will look adorable in a cute outfit just for the holiday.

My granddaughters all had It's My First Christmas t-shirts to wear to the big holiday dinner. Oh, yes, they were first in their charming little Christmas dresses, but we know that a change of clothes for any baby is important. So after all the pictures were finished, the girls were changed into their first Christmas T-shirts.

A baby's first Christmas photo ornament makes a great gift idea as well. Given to parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles, even godparents, everyone will have a special memory of that darling little one's first holiday time.

Endangered Species Animal Christmas Ornaments

Christmas time is definitely a time of celebrating and sharing with family and friends. But, let's not forget the animals. Many of those that are endangered are now available on tree ornaments.

As an animal lover myself, I know how much I certainly don't want to lose these precious animals for my grandchildren to know about. Future generations will have enough on their hands to deal with, wouldn't it be nice if they didn't have endangered animal species to deal with?

You can show your own children and grandchildren some of these animals with endangered species Christmas tree ornaments. Remember them yourself and help keep them in our world mind so that maybe we can be part of the solution to saving them.

That's my view when it comes to helping these animals. Just maybe the increase in awareness can make a difference. Just maybe we will think about helping the organizations that help these animals. At least with Christmas tree ornaments, we can keep them in our minds.

I've found a collection of 7 of them featured in beautiful photographs. Endangered species ornaments will make a wonderful and giving addition to your own Christmas tree as well as great gift options for so many who are on your gift list.

Christmas Cards for Multiple Family Photos

How many years have you looked at all your family photos trying to decide which one will be the single one to go into your Christmas cards? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to pick more than one? That's what I thought, too.

Well, I found them. Great Christmas cards where I can put several different photos in the cards. Some have a spot for the largest group shot, with smaller spots for those others that you didn't want to completely ignore. Other cards have equal spots so there is no decision to make. Well, other than which shot goes in which spot. But, that's easier to do.

My own daughter ran into this problem last year. She wanted to have a photo of her new baby along with her older child and the whole family all in one beautiful family photo Christmas card. She ended up spending tons of time coming up with her own, but she was so disappointed in the end effect. She was looking for something more professional.

This year, when I showed her what I found, she was thrilled. She has already picked out pictures of the two children to include and just needs that family photo. Both of us are delighted at how easy it is to add in our photos and so happy with the quality of the Christmas family photo card choices.

If you are also in this same boat, I have your answer. Family photo Christmas cards are wonderful options to show off your family in multiple shots all for one card.

Hosting an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party

Ugly Christmas sweaters are a tradition from way back. And the parties that celebrate those ugly sweaters have a long tradition as well. If you want to host an ugly sweater party, here are some ideas and suggestions to make it more fun.

There are a couple of suggestions that are best for your guests. First, make sure they understand the purpose of the party. You want them to wear their best or funniest ugly sweater. So start off and pick the invitations for your party that will give them the most information. Then definitely make sure you wear your best or funniest sweater yourself. Ugly sweater invitations are a great start, but showing off your own is definitely a must.

Contests for various categories are fun addition to any ugly sweater party. The best way is to pick silly categories. The most tree ornaments on the sweater, the most reindeer, etc. Categories like the funniest or the ugliest are hard to choose winners. Unless you have a team of judges, or have your guests vote anonymously, then don't pick subjective categories. Make sure to include at least the idea that you will have contests in your ugly sweater party invitations to alert your guests.

As with any holiday party, ugly sweater parties can get out of hand with too much alcohol. So be careful of the kinds and quantities of drinks available. Make sure there is plenty of water, coffee and tea for your guests. As hosts, make sure you know designated drivers to help out.

Now that the caution is done, pick your date, chose your ugly sweater party invitations and get planning for a fun time for both you and your guests.

Halloween Fashions, Not Costumes

Yes, for most of us Halloween is all about the costume. But that costume can't be worn everywhere, nor will you plan to wear it other than the party or trick or treating. So what about Halloween fashions that can be worn throughout October and at times when the costume isn't appropriate, but you still want to celebrate?

That's where Halloween fashion comes into play. Since for many of us Halloween is a cooler time of year, a fashion accessory like a wrap scarf all decked out for the holiday is a fun and useful item.
Keeping you warm while totally comfortable around your neck, Halloween wrap scarves make the perfect fashion accessory to show your support of the holiday.

Maybe you are anti the standard costume idea. Then try a fun t-shirt that says it all. "Who needs a mask with a face like this" is one of those humorous sayings for costume t-shirts. How about "instant pirate, just add rum" for a funny saying on your costume t-shirt?

Adding a little bit of Halloween fashion when a costume is not appropriate is easy with so many choices. Whether it's a stack of smiling pumpkins, a spooky black cat face, a cute witch or even a bunch of spiders, a scarf adorning your outfit will work great for Halloween. Or chose the fun tradition of a Halloween t-shirt. You just can't go wrong.

Having Halloween Fun with Creepy Cloth

If you haven't discovered creepy cloth for your Halloween decorating, then you are in for a treat. This stuff is great and so easy to use to get that overly old and cobweb covered look.

I love creepy cloth and fun ways you can use to it decorate for a spooky and eerie feel. Not just for parties, I also decorate my home all through the month of October with fun and crazy Halloween stuff. Creepy cloth is just the most fun to work with.

My favorite trick is to put up a chunk of creepy cloth in a very pale color into a corner between ceiling and wall. Then I put in a large spider and have her looking at the room. When I go for a more spooky feel, I like to have the hair kind of spider. If I go for a more fun, or kid-oriented, decor, then my spider has a smile on her face and she doesn't intend to look real.

When you go to use creepy cloth, make sure you stretch the fabric around. It's made from a very open weave cloth so there is plenty of room to make it look like old decaying fabric. Create holes in various places where you stretch. That will give you a spookier effect.

If you like to use creepy cloth to imitate old spider webs, then stretch the fabric more evenly. But, get a more open effect in the weave. You will have great fun with your family and guests.

Setting a Ghoulish Mood with Halloween Party Invitations

Halloween parties are great fun and quite popular, too, for both kids and grown-ups. If you want to have a scary or creepy Halloween party, then you definitely want to have ghoulish party invitations.

Choosing the invitations will also set the tone or mood of the party. For Halloween, you can go with a more friendly or happy type of party that includes smiling pumpkins and happy cupcakes.

But, if it's scary, you want creepy cloth spread around with large spiders tucked in. You want severed fingers and Zombie brains for the look of the food. That's when you want to have creepy invitations.

You want your guests to know what kind of party they will in for. Many of your guests will pick their costume to work with your party theme. So making sure they know in advance that this will be a spooky Halloween party is best.

Be considerate of your guests, as well. If you are allowing young children to be part of your party, tone down the creepiness. You don't want to scare them. Many adults could be freaked out by too much of the gory and scary stuff as well.

If you know your guests will be able to handle and get into the fun of your Halloween party, then by all means go all out. Those are the most fun as far as I'm concerned. That's why I usually have the grossest and scariest parties I can put together. And I send out ghoulish party invitations to make sure my guests are prepared.

Fun Ghoulish Treats with Halloween Cookbooks

No matter how much you enjoy Halloween, there always comes a time when you want to do something fun or new. With my parties each year, I seem to have a reputation for the food. Friends talk about what creepy or crazy new recipe will I have this year.

I am now armed with a bunch of Halloween cookbooks to work with. Recipes that are not only good food, but also detailed instructions for how to make them look like the ghoulish stuff my guests look for.

I hate to say I have them beat, but with my Halloween cookbooks, I do. Of course, there will be some of those old standbys like severed fingers and bloodshot eyeballs, but there will be plenty new and fun foods to keep everyone happy.

Besides, they will have something to talk about. It's one of those things that will keep my reputation in tack.

Even if you aren't into crazy Halloween parties, you can find recipes for more fun school treats, happy desserts and fun ideas to serve your own family. Halloween cookbooks work for so many different types of meals, treats and parties.

Kids Personal Trick or Treat Bags

OK, let's get real here. What kid wouldn't love to have a trick or treat bag with their own name on it? And I'm not talking about those grocery sack bags that we had to make ourselves when we were kids.

Wait, can you still get paper grocery sacks anymore? But, I digress. How about a canvas bag designed just for Halloween with your child's own name right on the bag? Now that's a fun idea.

Besides the basic trick or treating, kids will also be attending parties and school Halloween events. You definitely want your own child to be able to find their bag easily and keep it separate from the other kid's bags. With their name right on the front, it's easy.

If you're a parent of more than one child, like I am, having a personalized treat bag for each sure helps keep the squabbling down. Everyone knows right away who's bags is whose so there's no problem.

I know how well this works. My kids all got a fun Halloween treat bag as a gift from Gramma one year. They were as delighted as I was. Each design was different, but each had their name right on the front. Halloween was just that bit easier from then on.

Whether this is your own child, or a grandchild, he or she will certainly appreciate having a personalized trick or treat bag this Halloween.

Baby Shower Invitations for Halloween

If a baby shower on or near Halloween is what you are planning, then you definitely want invitations that work great for Halloween baby showers. Luckily, you can get these. I'm not kidding.

My own granddaughter was born in early December. October was the perfect time for my daughter's baby shower. But, you have to understand that my daughter and her husband are great fans of Halloween. They go all out. So a Halloween baby shower was the perfect theme for her.

But, baby shower invitations in all the stores we looked at were boringly similar. And certainly had nothing to do with Halloween. That meant we needed to do something different. Most online stores had stock designs, or they required too much money to make it worthwhile to create a unique design.

Then we tried Zazzle.com and found a great selection of truly fun and unique Halloween baby shower invitations. The styles were so varied, the images so varied and we could personalize them easily.

Once we chose the invitations, the rest of the baby shower fell into place. We picked decorating ideas and favors right from the design elements on the invitations. The color schemes were all right there and the whole Halloween baby shower was a huge hit.

So don't limit yourself to the standard stuff. Go with unique, unusual and fun Halloween baby shower invitations and have a hit yourself.

Fun and Funny Halloween Decorations

Does humor come into your Halloween decorating? It certainly does for me. Just to have some of those funny items that will make me laugh, make my guests chuckle or just remind us all that humor is still important makes me happy.

One of those funny things is a Halloween bathroom door cover. OK, who ever would have thought that a skeleton was funny for Halloween. But, put him on a toilet reading a paper and you have hilarious.

It's one of the things that I love about designers of Halloween decor. They have a great sense of humor. It wasn't even a Halloween party that I first introduced this funny bathroom door cover to my guests. But, they each came back from the bathroom laughing and telling others they just had to go see. Imagine how much fun you will have for your own Halloween party.

But, speaking of fun Halloween decorations, you need to see these inflatable yard pumpkins. Each with big smiling faces, they will certainly add a touch of fun to your own Halloween. Yes, they can each go with more spooky decor. I always wonder what they are grinning at! Could it be to scary stuff that awaits your party guests? Just a bit more Halloween humor for you.

It doesn't matter what kind of decor style you are going for for your own party or decorations, a little humor with a Skeleton bathroom door cover or an inflatable grinning pumpkin can add that extra touch you will love.

Halloween Party Fun with Candy Molds

Halloween is such a fun time of the year. It's one of those holidays that look forward to just about all year long. Whether you are planning a party for friends, a party for the school kids, or just want to enjoy your own fun, the Halloween foods are a big part of it.

Of course, you can have things like severed fingers styled foods, or eyeball deviled eggs, but what about those fun sweets? We all like to have little extra chocolates and desserts for any party. Halloween candy molds make it easy to create some fun or spooky food effects.

Certainly use melting chocolate so that they form into the shapes properly, but that's easy to do when you have the right kind of candy to work with. Then have some fun. Making your own Halloween candy can be a very creative endeavor if you like.

Create some faces with different colored chocolates and toothpicks, or just play with a little mixing of black and orange colors to make swirled candies. Test out a few if this is your first time. You get the fun of eating the failures!

Molded candy makes a great idea for taking to parties that you are attending as well. You can match the candy mold to the type of party. If it's to be a scary costume event, take brain shaped candies, or chocolate spiders. But, take things like pumpkins and cat shaped candy to kids parties.

No matter what your excuse, making Halloween candy using molds is always fun and creative. And always well received by your guests.

Unique Halloween Party Decorations: Bottle Labels

When I went looking for something different to help decorate for my big Halloween party this year, I found so fun ideas. New ways to add little vignettes of spooky or ghoulish decor. New party accessories and new fun inflatables to add to my party decor.

One of those really fun things I found was bottle labels in Halloween themes. Imagine having your wine bottles, beer bottles, even soda or water bottles labeled with things like: Witch's Brew, Poison, and Goblin Brains. What a fun way to add more Halloween decor to your table.

The bottle labels come in sets of 8 for a small price, so I can get lots of different kinds to make up fun decorations for my beverages. That was always a sore spot with me. I usually ended up keeping the beverage table separate and could only add a bit of decor.

While my buffet food table was loaded with those ghoulish and freakish foods all decked out as eyeballs, brains, and severed fingers, my drinks were just tubs of iced down bottles. Boring! But, this year, I will be loading my drink tubs with appropriate Halloween style beverages.

I won't completely hide the real labels. I want my guests to know what they will be drinking (the real stuff that is actually safe for them) but I do want to add more fun ideas for the decorating and dress up even the beverages. Get some Halloween beverage labels for yourself and have more fun at your party, too.

Baby Animals - The Perfect Toddler Costume

Dressing a toddle for Halloween is always great fun. Whether it's just for the fun of celebrating the holiday, or you're attending or hosting a party, including the little ones is darling.

Picking a costume for a toddler though isn't always easy. In my world, that little one who is now able to walk, even run, needs a costume to move with. Baby animals make some of the best in my opinion.

Darling little ones as darling little ones is just plain adorable. Nearly every toddler has those special stuffed animals that are part of their every day lives. The teddy bear they can't sleep without, the plush monkey that shares play time, even the over-sized stuffed lion that sits in the corner of their bedroom all are part of a toddler's world.

Choosing a baby animal costume that matches one of their own favorite plush animals is a great fit. Toddlers are aware of the match themselves and will delight in being that favorite toy.

Besides my own children, I have multiple grandchildren that toddle into Halloween all costumed out. By far, the cutest ones have been those baby animals. I afraid the memories live much longer with the adults, but that's what makes Halloween with a toddler so much fun.

Zombie Party Planning

Certainly Zombie parties are a great theme for Halloween. The costumes are fun to create, the decor is a kick to put together and the food is creative. Getting started with your Zombie party is easy, at least when you start with the invitations.

For me, any party planning starts with invitations. I like to look through my choices, then pick one or two that will work great. I spend some time looking at the designs, the color schemes, the little extras that are in the invitations to get my ideas.

Once I have settled on which invite I want, I have most of my planning in place. I always order my party invites from Zazzle. The designs are just so unique. I always get compliments!

And don't you know, they have tons of great ones for a Zombie Halloween party! We are all getting ready for the Zombie invasion and this year's party will be a huge hit. Starting with those invitations for all the planning ideas will help make the party that hit.

When you're ready to get started planning your Halloween party, take a look at the Zombie party invitations to get your ideas for colors to work with, decor to add and fun food to serve. You will have a huge party hit yourself.

Creating a Zombie Costume for Women

Looking for costume ideas for this Halloween? How about a Zombie? That is a fun and wild costume for any event, whether a Halloween party or any kind of occasion that needs a costume.

We are preparing for the Zombie invasion, which we know could happen at any time. In fact, Halloween party themes of the UnDead are popular these days. Maybe we should take a lesson from that and get prepared.

Zombie costumes are probably the easiest scary costume to do yourself. It's all about looking like you have been dead for many years. Now you have come back to life as the walking dead. So your look is that of moldy hair, white face and decaying clothing.

Make sure to add in a little blood on your dress or outfit to effect the violent end that you had. That creates your need to return to the world that took your life. Of course you have the fun of going after the living!

Take advantage of the fun by handing out signs that say: Zombies want brains, so you're safe. Just a little added silliness to promote your own fun. By the way, that particular little trick won me a Best Costume Award.

So get ready for some fun this Halloween and decorate yourself as one of the Walking Dead. You could come home from a party with an award yourself.

Summer Time Parties

We love those lazy summer days with plenty of sunshine and outdoor activities. By now, the graduation parties are over, so it's time to think about other kinds of parties. Like a barbeque, maybe?

Outdoor grilling and summer just go together so naturally. Don't we all look forward to those grilled meats, vegetables, even fruits? It doesn't actually require a holiday to have a fun barbeque party. It's fun to celebrate a great summer weekend with a party.

The first step, after your date is set, of course, is to get your invitations sent out. While many people will just do phone calls, it's so much nicer to send out invitations to your barbeque party. Most especially if you are doing one for the 4th of July or Labor Day, or even a birthday party.

Sending out a written invitation doesn't take too much and gives your guests all the information they need right at their fingertips. No more guests who didn't remember the time or the address. Therefore no dealing with last minute phone calls.

Summer party invitations can also help you set the theme for your party. Even with a barbeque party, there can be different themes. Of course my favorite is Old West, but there are plenty of others and the invitation choices can help you find fun ones.

So go ahead and plan that great summer party. This season is too short to let it go by without additional fun.

Summer Pool Parties for Kids

Granted Summer isn't really a holiday, unless you are a school-aged child. Then we are talking a huge holiday. And that's fitting. They get a holiday from school, perfect. So why not let them celebrate with a pool party?

So many kids have birthdays in the summer months, too. It's great for them to be able to celebrate their birthday with their friends. Certainly like the other school kids do that have birthdays during the school months.

Whether you have your own pool, are using a family member's or friends pool, or have the ability to use a community of YMCA pool, a kid's party is such an ideal summer event. After you have the place, date and time coordinated, your next step is the invitations.

Fun and appropriate children's pool party invitations are easily available online at Zazzle. The great designers on this site do a wonderful job of making the artwork and layout of the invites, just right. Then all you need to do is add in the details.

The invitations are printed on good quality card stock. The images are brilliant and the shipping is fast. I always order my invitations from Zazzle. There is no minimum quantity so I can order just the amount I need with no wasted leftovers.

Get planning and have that perfect Summer pool party for your child. It's easy and fun to do!

Enjoy Easter Jewelry

Easter jewelry isn't just for little girls. Now, us adult women can enjoy the look of Easter Jewelry. Earring, necklaces, bracelets and pendants. And the charming kind that you love to wear.

I have a friend who loves wearing jewelry for all the holidays. She even has a special jewelry box just for her holiday items. She always has really nice and interesting jewelry. Some ends up as conversations starters, other pieces just make her feel good even if no one notices she's wearing them.

When she wanted more jewelry for Easter, she found a very nice collection with lots of options. I have to say I agree with her. That collection has something for just about everybody. Plus I found some great pieces of jewelry to add to my granddaughters Easter baskets this year.

So if you are ready for some Easter jewelry for yourself or to give as an Easter gift, take a look. Easter Pendants and Jewelry will certainly satisfy what you are looking for.

Set a Charming Easter Table

Easter brunch is a big deal at my house. The table has to be set with all the fun things that support Easter for everyone in my family. That includes 3 grandchildren, so I like to have lots of things that the little ones will like.

Not only is the centerpiece a plush bunny holding an Easter lily and surrounded by colorful plastic eggs with little treats in them, but I like to use bright plates just special for Easter. I have a nice collection of Easter bunny decorated plates that I mix in with some other Easter designs. This year I need to add another one for my future son-in-law. The best part is, I found a whole page of just Easter Bunny plates.

Of course, at brunch I like to serve up both coffee and tea along with other "appropriate" drinks for the family. I had a few Easter teapots, but I need to add to them so that every drink can be served from it's own pitcher of pot. Easter teapots are perfect for both hot or cold drinks and each drink has it's own design.

My Easter table always gets plenty of compliments. Every one looks forward to seeing it again and see what additions I have made. If you are the hostess for your Easter meal, you can make extra charming with lots of Easter decor, like Easter Bunny plates or other kind of Easter plates. And then don't forget the teapots for Easter. Your family will love it, just as mine does.

Decorate Your Home for Easter

Oh, the lovely colors and charming designs of Easter are some of my favorites. So I enjoy bringing that pretty look into my home at this time of year. Just thinking about the cold weather outside, makes me long for the charming look of Spring. Easter home decorations are a great way to welcome Spring.

I've found some wonderful ways to add a touch of that charm to my home. Decorative throw pillows that reflect the pastels of Easter can be tossed on a couch or chair or even propped up on a bed. Easter Decorative Pillows has a great selection.

Then the fun of adding a Welcome Easter garden flag to my front yard is another great way to decorate. I always have my garden flags where I can see them from a window. They aren't just for the neighbors, you know. An Easter garden flag or two allows me to see the beauty that the real Springtime will soon bring.

So don't be hesitant youself. Get ready for Easter and Spring time both inside and outside your house. Decorative Pillows for Easter gives you wide selection of the sweetest looks for inside your home, while Easter Garden Flags offers you  great choices to decorate outside your home.

Adorn Yourself with St. Patrick's Day Jewelry

Inexpensive Gift Ideas: Romantic Mugs

If your budget is stretched this year, you might want to consider an inexpensive Valentine's Day gift for your sweetheart. Romantic mugs make a great choice. Still a gift of love, but one that will continue to show your love.

Unlike flowers and candy, romantic mugs will be used for a long time to come. They carry hearts, messages and designs of romance and love. The best part, romantic mugs are inexpensive gifts.

Complete your gift with a love note tucked inside the romantic mug. Something as simple as I love you written on a card can work beautifully, but more elaborate messages printed on special paper work very well, too. However you like to express yourself is the way to go.

You can find love quotes and messages to give to your sweetheart at Romantic Mugs for Loving Gifts, along with a lovely selection of those heart mugs, message mugs and just plain romantic mugs. So get planning for your Valentine's Day gift and keep your budget under control this year.

Setting a Valetine's Mood with Romantic Candles

With Valentine's Day approaching many of us are thinking about how we will celebrate this romantic holiday. Cards, gifts, yes. But what about a romantic evening with your sweetheart? Using candlelight sets a beautiful romantic tone for your evening together. And candles along with candle holders that are designed for Valentine's Day are perfect.

Think of hearts, roses, reds and pinks to celebrate with. Heart-shaped candles, whether you like scented or not, say you care to your sweetie. Beautiful rose designed candles and candle holders are romantic, too.

You can use Valentine's candles all through the day and into the evening or just set them up for a romantic dinner. For some people lighting candles isn't what they prefer to do, but using unlit Valentine's candles as part of your holiday decorating works great, too.

So get planning for that perfect romantic evening with plenty of Valentine's candles and candle holders. You and your love can have a wonderful evening with a perfect mood.

Decorative Romantic Valentine Pillows

Whether you are looking for a great gift idea for Valentine's Day or just want to spruce up your home or room the this romantic holiday, decorative romantic pillows are a great choice. They can say I love you or just be a charming addition to your couch, chair or bed.

Some of my favorites include candy hearts and vintage Valentine's card reproductions. But there are plenty more to be found at Decorative Pillows: Romantic and Hearts. I just love it when someone narrows down the mammoth number of choices to a few really good picks. That sure makes my job of choosing just one or two so much easier.

The choices of decorative romantic pillows are plentiful even when some one has narrowed down the list. So there will something for just about everyone.

While you are planning out your Valentine's Day decorations, be sure to include a few decorative romantic throw pillows. Or consider something unique as a gift. The typical jewelry, flowers or candy can now be set on a romantic pillow, or the pillow can be given by itself.
